          UDTA PUNJAB is the Abhishek Chaubey's next direction after ‘ishqiya’ and ‘Dedh Ishqiya’. And this "UDTA PUNJAB" has attracted many of buzzes ever since it was announced. It is a movie based on the drug-related problems that are prevalent in Punjab. From bringing ex-flames Kareena Kapoor khan and Shahid Kapoor together in a film after 9 years of introducing Punjabi Heartthrob Diljit Dosanjh to Bollywood, along with Alia Bhatt in a totally new avatar, this film has already been the talk of the town for all the right reasons.

10.  This was the one of highly awaited film of Balaji Motions and its initial release date is June 17, 2016(USA) and we must say, the wait is going to be harder.

9. All the four main leading characters are engaged with their own different roles and their story will be interwoven reflecting the brutal reality of Punjab.

8. Punjabi singer and actor, Diljit Dosanjh will be debuting in Bollywood. In the film, Dilijt will be seen playing the role of a cop,  acting as the lawmakers, he will also be seen romancing with Kareena Kapoor khan in the film.

7. Kareena Kapoor Khan will be played as Dr. Preet Sahani, dressed in salwar kameez and maintaining a serious look on her beautiful face, will be seen portraying the role of a responsible citizen, a strong role to essay, I am sure.

6. Shahid Kapoor will be seen playing the role of Punjabi rockstar and his name in the movie is "Tommy", whose fan following is enslaved by the powder he has to snort to keep going. He maintained a style in the movie like tattoos all over his chiseled body and his asymmetric hairdo, has actually triggered the curiosity level.

5. Alia Bhatt will be playing the role of a labor worker from Bihar who later shifted to Punjab to earn some money to live and to top it up, she will be speaking Bhojpuri. Now that’s something we can’t wait to watch.

4. According to the reports, nobody showed interest to do the film and only when Shahid insisted, but Gorgeous Alia agreed to do the film, hopefully, it doesn’t turn out to be as Shaandar.

3. Sources claimed that Kareena Kapoor Khan's name was suggested bu Shahid Kapoor himself to Abhishek Chaubey  to cast her in that role! Sounds interesting! but the fact in here is, they will not share the screen together munch longer in this film.
