        Caitlyn Marie Jenner, born on Oct 28, 1949, was formerly known as Bruce Jenner. Jenner is an American Television Personality and also a retired Olympic Gold Medal Winner. She played for her college football team- Graceland Yellowjackets before treated with a knee injury requiring surgery. Coach L. D. Weldon who coached for Olympic decathlete Jack Parker, was convinced Caitlyn to try the decathlon. After intense training, Jenner won the 1976 Olympics decathlon title at the Montreal Summer Olympics, gaining a fame as "an all-American Hero". Jenner set a 3rd successive world record while winning the Olympics. The winner of the Olympic decathlon is traditionally given the unofficial title of "world's greatest athlete." 10. Jenner herself accidentally used the name "Bruce" after announcing Caitlyn.

       While Vanity Fair interviewer Buzz Bissinger apologized for using the bruce Jenner which is a male pronoun instead of the female pronoun for Caitlyn  Jenner, the Olympic gold medalist accidentally revealed her former name while introducing herself. In the Vanity Fair article, she expressed preference of the feminine pronoun.


9. Caitlyn was not Jenner's original idea for a female name.

     "Jenner had once talked in a gag about going to Denmark and coming back to his four young children as Aunt Heather," Bissinger wrote for Vanity Fair.


8. Caitlyn is spelled her name with a "C" instead of a "K" to break away from the Kardashian "K" theme.

    Jenner told Vanity Fair in an article about choosing your own name,  “It’s one of the hardest things in life — choosing your own name,”, When she finally settled on the name, she thought which way to spell it, but primarily settled on Caitlyn with a "C," deciding it was "best to break tradition," VF said.


7. Jenner does not have a sexual preference.

    While Bruce Jenner had one and only relationships with women, Jenner said she is not looking for the best partner currently and does not know what her future will hold in that field of life. Jenner has not had genital surgery.

   Before she met Kris Jenner she was interested in transition and actually began the process, including hormones and surgery. In March, Bruce Jenner underwent 10-hour feminization facial surgery which is actually five hours only. The day after, the reality television star debated the actions that had been taken, but a counselor ensured that thoughts like that were normal, Vanity Fair reported.
